We had a little talk today at work discussing stories and how to effectively break them down.

Here's some of the basic points of the talk I captured with my Livescribe Echo.

There were four key points I got from the discussion:

1. Stories should be broken down until they fit in a single unit of work.
2. INVEST in good stories
3. Stories only need to be detailed enough for you to start work. They are designed to facilitate a discussion and do not require a huge amount of detail up front.
4. And finally, we discussed some Patterns of splitting stores.
